Restaurant Style Beef Biryani
Biryani is our first love. And we can't compromise on it ever. Whether it's a normal day, festival some gathering, without biryani everything is incomplete. So let's cook biryani Today.
We are gonna cook beef biryani. Which includes 4 steps. 1st boiling rice and beef. 2nd making gravy. 4th layer g and last but not the least steam cook.
So let's get started.
Time required: 1 hour +
Serves:7-8
Ingredients:
- Rice: 750 g
- Salt: as per taste
- Water: as required
For beef boiling: - Beef mix pieces: 750 gram
- Water:2 Cups or as required
- Onion sliced: 1 medium
- Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
- Salt:½ tbs or to taste
- Ginger crushed :1 tbs
- Garlic crushed: 1 & ½ tbs
- Lemon juice:2 tbs
For the beef gravy : - Boiled Beef: 750 gram
- Cooking oil:¾ Cup
- Onion: 2 sliced
- Cinnamon sticks :1
- Black cardamom :1
- Green cardamom: 2
- Cloves: 4
- Star anise: 1
- Bay leaves: 2
- Cumin seeds: 1 tbs
- Black peppercorns: ½ tsp
- Tomatoes chopped:2 medium
- Yogurt whisked: ½ Cup
- Biryani masala: 1 & ½ tbs
- Red chili powder: 2 tsp or to taste
- Coriander seeds: 1 & ½ tbs
- Dried plums: 6-7
- Fresh coriander chopped: 2-3 tbs
- Mint leaves: chopped 1-2 tbs
- Green chilies2-3
For layering - Beef gravy
- Rice) sella:750g (boiled with salt until 3/4th done)
- Mint leaves chopped: 2-3 tbs
- Fresh coriander chopped:2-3 tbs
- Onion fried:2-3 tbs
- Water: 1-2 tbs
- Kewra water: ½ tbs
- Orange food color: ¼ tsp or as required
- Onion fried
Recipe:
Boiling :
- In a pressure cooker, add beef, water, onion, turmeric powder, salt, ginger, garlic, and lemon juice, mix well and bring it to a boil.
- Cove and pressure cook on medium-low flame for 20 minutes.
- Then cook on high flame until water dries up & set aside.
- Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes. Soaking is optional.
- In a pot boil water and add salt and rice.
- Boil rice until 3/4th done.
Beef Gravy:
- In a bowl, add yogurt, biryani masala, mix well & set aside.
- In a pot, add cooking oil, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, star anise, bay leaves, cumin seeds, and, black peppercorns, and mix well.
- Add onion and fry. Fry until golden color.
- Add tomatoes and mix well.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, and, dried plum, mix well, and cook for 1 minute.
- Now add cooked beef and mix well.
- Add fresh coriander, mint leaves green chilies, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 8-10 minutes or until oil separates
- On low flame, add spiced yogurt and mix well.
Layering:
- In a pot add some gravy, then add boiled rice, then again add gravy and boiled rice. In the same way, make layers.
- On top, Add mint leaves, fresh coriander, fried onion, and boiled rice.
- In a cup add water kewra water and yellow food color and mix well.
- Now add dissolved food color and fried onion, cover, and steam cook on low flame for 18-20 minutes.
Serve:
Serving food properly in a good way with a smile on the face is very important as it increases not only the beauty of food but also left an impression on the eater.
Serve biryani with some salad, raita, and kabab. They ultimately enhance its taste.
