Desserts are everyone's favourite. Every occasion and festival is incomplete without dessert. I'm also going to share a yummiest dessert recipe with you guys, which is sheer khurma. A milky dessert with richness of flavour. Mainly made from vermicelli or sawaiyan , dry fruits and milk. Sheer Khurma is very popular dessert in pakistan, turkey, arabian countries and india etc.
so let's cook Sheer Khurma together and celebrate happiness together.
Time required: 40 minutes
Serves: 5-6
Ingredients:
- Milk: 1 Litre
- ghee (Clarified butter): 2 tbs
- Chuwaray (Dry dates): boiled & sliced 8-10
- Cashew nuts: sliced 2 tbs
- (Almonds: 2 tbsp
- Pistachios: sliced 2 tbs
- (Raisins) : 1 tbs
- Sugar: ½ Cup or to taste
- Cardamom pods: powder ½ tsp
- Clarified butter: 2 tbs
- Sawaiyan (Vermicelli) :crushed 40g
- Kewra water: ½ tsp
- Dried rose petals for garnishing
Directions:
- In a wok,add milk,bring it to boil & cook for 2-3 minutes until milk thickens.
- In frying pan,add clarified butter & let it melt.
- Add dry dates and mix well.
- Add cashew nuts,almonds,pistachios,raisins,mix well and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add fried nuts (reserve for later use),sugar,cardamom pods,mix well and cook on medium
- flame for 4-5 minutes & keep mixing in between.
-In frying pan,add clarified butter & let it melt.
- Add vermicelli and fry for 2 minutes.
-Add fried vermicelli,mix well and cook for 6-8 minutes.
- Add kewra water,mix well & cook until desired consistency.
Garnish:
- Garnish with fried nuts,dried rose petals & serve!
