Palak Paneer Recipe| Restaurant Style Recipe

Palak Paneer is a vegetarian dish. Mainly consist of Indian cottage cheese in the spinach puree. It originated in the north of India. Palak paneer is very famous in India. 

It has a creamy,  spicy taste and is also very healthy. Spinach is an incredibly nutrient-rich vegetable. It packs high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron, and calcium.

Cheese reduces the risk of cancer, and is good for teeth and bones, also helps in the normal functioning of the digestive system.

So without wasting time let's get started.

Time required: 40 minutes.

Servings:  4 to 5 persons.

Ingredients:

  1. Spinach: 2kg or 1 and half bunch
  2. Paneer: 250 grams
  3.  Milk Cream: 2 tsp
  4. Onion: 2 medium-sized
  5. Ginger garlic paste: 2tsp
  6. Green chilies: 3 to 4
  7. Salt: to taste
  8. Oil: 5 to 7 tsp
  9. Red pepper flakes: half tsp
  10. Red pepper powder: 1tsp
  11. Turmeric powder: half tsp
  12. Coriander powder: half tsp
  13. Cumin seeds: 2tsp
  14. Garam masala: 1 tsp
  15. Fenugreek leave: 2tsp

Recipe:

  • In a pan add oil and heat.
  • Add cheese to the pan and fry from both sides. Fry until the cheese gets a golden color.
  • Set it aside.
  • Wash and chop spinach properly.
  • Boil spinach for 5 minutes. Then make a puree of spinach in a blender.
  • Now in a pot add oil.
  • Add onion to oil and fry. 
  • When the onion gets light golden add chopped ginger and garlic. fry until golden color.
  • Now transfer fried onion, garlic, and ginger to a blender, add tomatoes, green chilies, water, and make a paste.
  • Add cumin seeds to the oil ( in which we fried onion.) Fry for 1 minute.
  • Then add onion tomato paste to this oil.
  • Add spices like red pepper flakes, red pepper powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix and cook for 5 minutes. 
  • When oil comes to the top add spinach puree. Cook for 2 minutes then add remaining spices e.g coriander powder, gram masala powder, and fenugreek leaves.
  • Add cream and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for  5 to 8 minutes.
  • Now add fried Cheese to the spinach puree and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Yummy Palak Paneer is ready.

Garnish with : 

  • Garnish with some fried cheese and cream. 
  • Enjoy your meal with your loved ones.
